Summer Sessions is a program of the"Old Carter Barn Arts Initiative", a 501(c)(3). Its mission is to support and promote the arts through community programs, cultural events, education, and artistic heritage preservation.

ABOUT WADE PRESTON:
It's not often a man can sit in front of a piano and command an audience’s full attention, but Wade Preston's musical prowess and dexterity alone is enough to drop a stadium full of a jaws. When combined with his versatile vocal talent, stage charm, story telling and sense of humor, he delivers an undeniably unique and thoroughly enjoyable solo show. Wade is best known for his role as the piano man in Billy Joel’s Broadway hit Movin’ Out.
He is an original cast member, having done the full 3 1/2 year run on Broadway, and often guested on both national tours. He is credited with having done the show more times than anyone, and was the only "Piano Man" to do both the Piano Man role and the synth chair at the same time when needed. When Billy was preparing his extended band for the historic Last Play at Shea concerts, where months of rehearsals, preparations, and even sound checks were required, Billy hired Wade as his stand in. Wade mostly performs solo concerts, but occasionally performs with his trio aptly titled The Wade Preston Band, and once in a while with The MOB, (all Movin' Out and / or Billy Joel alumni) as the Movin' Out Band TM.
Wade’s music is available on all musical digital platforms, including Lost In the Noise, 2020, No Present Like the Time, remixed and remastered in 2021 with bonus tracks, and Wade Preston Christmas, 2023. He is presently working on his next CD which is expected to come out in 2025.
